About the Editor

What browsers do you support? Up

We fully support IE 7+, Safari 4+, Firefox 3+, and Chrome 2+.

Older browsers should work but we cannot guarantee operation.

In addition, Flash Player 10 is required.

Do you plan to provide a commercial license? Up

We are planning to include SVG and PDF export in future versions of Cacoo.

Can I add my own stencils? Up

We are looking into allowing users to add their own stencils but we do not currently have the feature on our planned roadmap.

If you feel there is a need for a specific stencil please contact Cacoo Support and we will consider adding it to the base set.

Can I modify diagrams from my iPad? Up

We are considering the iPad as a platform for Cacoo but it is not part of our immediate plans to modify the editor to work on the iPad

While editing, the following message appeared:
"Due to network or server instability, we were unable to confirm the operation. Unconfirmed operations will be canceled and the diagram will revert to it's previous state. Please wait a moment and try again." and I lost my changes.

When the network connection to Cacoo is unstable, you might see this message.

This usually happens when you are on a wireless network and the signal strength is quite low. If you lose your connection briefly then you will also lose your connection to Cacoo.

Also, the servers for Cacoo are currently in Japan so there can be latency issues if you have a slow internet connection.

If you have issues unrelated to wireless connections or latency, please contact Cacoo support.

While editing I get connection error and Cacoo closes. What happened? ↑page up

When you have a bad network connection to Cacoo then this kind of error happens. If you are on a wireless network try to check your signal strength and perhaps move to a location where you are less likely to drop your connection.

Also, because the servers for Cacoo in Japan there might be latency issues if you have a slow connection.

When I try to save my diagram, I get this message:
"Your operation was canceled by other users !" and I was unable to save my work.。

When multiple people are editing a diagram at the same time or lots of changes are being made you will see often this message.

For example, if you are trying to paste something while someone else is trying to save the diagram then you will get this message.

In most cases if you wait a little while and try again you should be able to save.

If you are still unable to save after waiting, please contact Cacoo support with the URL of the diagram you are editing.

What kind of licensing model will Cacoo use? Up

In the latter half of 2010 we are planning to move to a freemium licensing model.

What will happen to the free plan when your licensing model changes? Up

When Cacoo switches to a freemium model we will place some restrictions on the functionality for the free plan. We also plan to have special packages for educators and students.
